Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy Development

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Provide strategic financial input on key business decisions.

Financial Management

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
Ensure accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance in financial reports.
Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational requirements.

Risk Management

Identify financial risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Establish and maintain a robust risk management framework.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Liaise with auditors, regulators, and external consultants.

Team Leadership

Lead and manage the finance department.
Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Mentor finance staff and support professional development.

Stakeholder Communication

Prepare and present financial reports to the CEO, Board, and stakeholders.
Manage investor relations and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Investment & Capital Management

Oversee investment strategies and evaluate capital performance.
Assess funding options and manage capital structure.

Business Analysis & Strategic Input

Analyze financial data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
Collaborate with other departments on project and business evaluations.

Operational & Systems Optimization

Ensure operational strategies align with financial objectives.
Leverage technology to improve financial systems, automation, and data accuracy.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required).
Master’s Degree or MBA is an added advantage.
ICAN certification is mandatory; FMI certification is an advantage.
Strong experience in investment analysis, financing, and management accounting.
Extensive audit experience.
Ability to implement and manage accounting systems and financial software.
Competency in credit structuring and financial negotiations.

Experience

Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience.
At least five (5) years in senior financial management roles.

Required Skills

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office tools.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
