Job Summary

Dangote Industries Limited is seeking a highly experienced Senior Consultant, SAP Technical Project Management to join its SAP Delivery Center in Hyderabad, India. This strategic role will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex SAP technical projects, including system implementations, upgrades, cloud migrations, and SAP S/4HANA transformations.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge of SAP landscapes with strong project management, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Strategy

Lead the development of comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), dependency mapping, and critical path analyses.
Conduct technical risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Define project governance frameworks, communication plans, and reporting structures.

Project Execution & Delivery

Manage end-to-end execution of SAP technical projects using SAP Activate, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies.
Coordinate SAP Basis, ABAP/BTP developers, integration specialists, and technical teams.
Facilitate project meetings, stand-ups, and steering committee reviews.
Proactively resolve technical issues, risks, and roadblocks.
Track project budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
Oversee cutover planning and go-live execution with minimal business disruption.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Serve as the primary technical contact for internal teams, clients, and vendors.
Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Manage stakeholder expectations and foster collaborative relationships.
Prepare executive-level presentations and strategic recommendations.

Technical Leadership & Problem Solving

Provide expert guidance on SAP Basis, ABAP, Fiori, Integration, and HANA architecture.
Support solution architecture decisions, infrastructure sizing, and deployment strategies.
Advise on SAP security, performance optimization, and best practices.
Facilitate resolution of complex technical challenges.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

Ensure technical deliverables meet quality and architectural standards.
Oversee technical testing phases including integration, performance, and security testing.
Conduct post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned.
Stay updated on SAP technologies, roadmaps, and project management best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8+ years experience in SAP environments.
At least 5 years in SAP Technical Project Management roles.
Proven experience delivering full lifecycle SAP projects, including:

SAP S/4HANA implementations or conversions.
SAP ECC upgrades and enhancement packs.
SAP cloud migrations (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Large-scale SAP integration projects.

Strong knowledge of SAP Basis, HANA, ABAP, Fiori, and SAP integration technologies.
Expertise in project management methodologies (PMP, Agile, or Scrum preferred).
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or SmartSheet.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills (Added Advantage)

SAP technical or SAP Activate certifications.
Experience with SAP Solution Manager and ALM processes.
Knowledge of DevOps and automation in SAP environments.
Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Consulting background with global project delivery experience.
