Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation & Cooking: Handle the washing, cutting, seasoning, and professional cooking of various menu items.
- Quality Control & Plating: Ensure all food served meets our 4 star quality standards, focusing on portion control and attractive presentation.
- Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a spotless workstation, strictly follow health and safety regulations, and ensure proper food handling and equipment cleaning.
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, organize supplies, and notify management when restocking is needed.
- Recipe Execution: Strictly follow chef-prepared recipes and prep lists to maintain a consistent taste profile.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the kitchen and service team to ensure guests receive their meals promptly, especially during peak hours.
- Special Requests: Be flexible enough to accommodate guest dietary restrictions and specific preferences without compromising on quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably in a hotel or high end restaurant setting.
- Deep knowledge of various cooking techniques and international/local cuisines.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced kitchen environment.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to live within or easily commute to the Ikoyi/Osborne axis.
