The Role Purpose

The Milling Technician is responsible for supporting the core operations of the mill. This role ensures that production remains continuous and efficient by executing daily operational checks, routine maintenance, and strict adherence to safety protocols. You will be the first line of defense against equipment downtime, ensuring that every grain processed meets our rigorous quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Compliance: Strictly adhere to all Health, Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
Machine Monitoring: Carry out daily operational checks on cleaning and milling machines to ensure peak performance.
Maintenance Support: Perform basic preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize production downtime.
Quality Control: Accurately record process readings and prepare basic quality reports to ensure product consistency.
Facility Hygiene: Maintain impeccable housekeeping and hygiene standards within the milling environment.
Routine Assistance: Support the broader production team in achieving daily output targets through diligent technical support.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Minimum of 5 O’Level credits (including Mathematics and English).
Technical Certification: NABTEB or City & Guilds (C&G) Technical certificate in Electrical or a related discipline.
Experience: At least 2 years of practical experience in a milling or production-heavy environment.
Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of milling operations and working knowledge of Food Safety and GMP standards.
Maintenance Skills: Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for industrial machinery.
