Job Summary

Intavalto Nigeria Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company’s financial operations.

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax and statutory regulations, and support management with timely financial reports that inform strategic decision-making. This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, technology-driven organization with a strong sustainability focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, and other statutory deductions.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Handle statutory filings with tax authorities, pension fund administrators, and relevant government agencies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, journals, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely remittance of salaries, pensions, and statutory contributions.
  • Track and analyse financial data from online and operational channels to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare management accounts, financial summaries, and presentations to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required reports, schedules, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial discipline across projects and departments.

Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or its equivalent is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant accounting experience, with hands-on payroll management.
  • Good working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, pensions, and statutory payroll deductions.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and technical teams.
