Job Summary
The Spa Manager will oversee the daily operations of the spa while also providing hands-on professional spa treatments. This role is ideal for someone who is not only certified and skilled in spa therapies but can also manage people, processes, and customer experience efficiently. The Spa Manager will ensure smooth operations, maintain high service standards, and lead the team to deliver consistent, top-quality spa services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced spa treatments including facials, body scrubs, massages, and skin therapies.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of therapists, receptionists, and support staff.
- Ensure smooth daily spa operations and maintain a calm, clean, and professional environment.
- Develop, implement, and enforce treatment standards, service protocols, and customer care procedures.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate spa staff to maintain high service quality.
- Manage appointment scheduling, staff rosters, and daily workflow.
- Oversee inventory management, including spa products, consumables, and equipment.
- Handle client consultations, feedback, complaints, and conflict resolution professionally.
- Work with the marketing team to promote spa services, packages, and seasonal offers.
- Monitor revenue, prepare basic performance reports, and help achieve business targets.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
Education and Certification
- Diploma or Degree in Spa Therapy, Cosmetology, or a related field.
- Certification as a Spa Therapist or Aesthetician is mandatory.
- Additional training in spa management or hospitality is an added advantage.
- Health and safety certification is preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years hands-on experience as a spa therapist or aesthetician.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a spa or wellness center.
- Proven experience delivering high-quality treatments and managing spa operations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge and practical skills in various spa treatments and wellness therapies.
- Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of spa products, equipment, and current industry trends.
- Familiarity with spa booking systems and management software.
