Job Summary
The Professional Barber will be responsible for providing clean, stylish, and precise haircuts and grooming services to clients. This role is perfect for someone who understands both classic and modern barbering styles and knows how to treat clients with respect and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality haircuts, trims, fades, tapers, and razor shaves.
- Carry out professional beard grooming and styling.
- Consult with clients to understand their preferred styles and make recommendations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene for tools and workstations.
- Manage appointments and attend to walk-in clients efficiently.
- Stay updated on new grooming trends and barbering techniques.
- Upsell grooming products and salon services when necessary.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and build long-term client relationships.
Education and Certification
- Minimum of SSCE / WAEC or equivalent.
- Certification from a recognized barbering or cosmetology school is an added advantage.
- Health, safety, or hygiene training is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience as a professional barber.
- Strong experience with both classic and modern hairstyles.
- Portfolio of previous work is an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong barbering and shaving skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail and sense of style.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced salon environment.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Proper knowledge of sanitation and sterilization standards.
