Role Overview
The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising day-to-day construction activities within assigned sections of various projects. The role focuses on ensuring that all works are executed strictly in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and other site stakeholders to monitor progress, resolve technical issues, enforce safety procedures, and ensure the efficient use of materials and resources on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities within assigned work sections across project sites.
- Ensure all construction works are carried out in strict accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with construction standards and best practices.
- Ensure that only approved and specified materials are used on site.
- Provide daily progress updates and technical reports to the Project Manager.
- Identify construction challenges and propose practical solutions to minimize delays.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures on site.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all site workers.
- Report unsafe conditions, near-misses, or incidents immediately to site management.
- Ensure proper handling, usage, and storage of construction materials to prevent wastage and damage.
- Coordinate subcontractors and artisans to ensure timely execution of assigned works.
- Support setting out, leveling, and accurate interpretation of construction drawings.
- Maintain high workmanship quality with minimal defects and rework.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned construction activities in line with project schedules.

- Registration with COREN or NSE is an added advantage.
- Strong practical experience in site supervision and coordination.
- Proven ability in setting out, leveling, and accurate interpretation of drawings.
- Solid knowledge of quality control and quality assurance processes.
- Experience managing subcontractors and skilled artisans.
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) compliance requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
