Overview of the Job
At Dangote Cement Plc, we are looking for a mechanical technical instructor who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable to join our team. The ideal applicant will be essential to providing our students and trainees with high-quality technical education and vocational training, giving them the skills and knowledge they need in mechanical and automotive technology in accordance with the National Board for Technical Education's (NBTE) approved national occupational standard.
Important Tasks and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of mechanical and automotive technology course curricula, making sure they adhere to established standards and curricula.
- In order to create a practical learning environment, give practical instruction in workshops and classrooms.
- Using the given documentation, demonstrate a thorough understanding of and proficiency with the installation and upkeep of AUTOGAS, CNG, and LNG technology.
- Give students and trainees the skills and information needed to operate and maintain HEMM equipment, such as bull dozers, dumpers, excavators, pay loaders, graders, and more.
- Encourage students to comprehend intricate automotive concepts, troubleshooting methods, and safety procedures related to the usage of CNG or autogas.
- Assess students' progress via tests and offer helpful criticism to improve learning results.
- Work together with other academics to guarantee ongoing research projects and implement the usage of a holistic educational experience throughout all training courses.
- Attend departmental meetings and support ideas for program growth.
- The Dangote Academy workshop inventory list for both tools and consumables is updated, and training tools and workshop equipment are managed.
- Execution of any additional relevant responsibilities that the center manager or other higher-ups may designate.
Requirements
- A mechanical or automotive engineering bachelor's degree, HND, or its equivalent from a respectable university.
- A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on expertise with automobile operation systems, together with any extra mentoring, teaching, or tutoring experience.
- Strong knowledge of the systems, safety requirements, and equipment concepts of HEMMs.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
