Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical support to the ECM/DCM officers and ensuring the Securities team has the data needed for business development. Duties include:

  • Review, publish, and provide advisory on the latest developments in equity and bond markets; write daily, weekly, and monthly reports for clients and prospects.
  • Perform rigorous company valuations and fundamental analyses; focus on developing innovative ideas to monitor financial market trends.
  • Generate high-impact trade ideas and work on the development of new financial products to assist in acquiring new clients.
  • Develop internal client relationships by working closely with EDC/Ecobank teams and building a comprehensive modeling and analytic library.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field of study.
  • Experience: At least 2–3 years of prior work experience as a Research/Analyst Specialist, specifically focused on Equity and Bond Markets.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and deep knowledge of Bloomberg.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent French language skills are required, English proficiency is a significant advantage.
