Job Summary

The Scrum Master will serve as a facilitator, coach, and servant leader for Agile software development teams. In this role, you will guide teams in applying Agile principles and the Scrum framework while creating an environment that supports collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Your primary mission is to help teams deliver high-quality software solutions by removing impediments, improving communication, strengthening Agile practices, and ensuring alignment between development teams, product owners, and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
• Coach and mentor Scrum teams on Agile values, principles, and best practices, ensuring consistent application of the Scrum framework.
• Support the Product Owner in effective product backlog management, refinement, and prioritization.
• Identify, track, and remove impediments or blockers that may hinder the team’s progress and delivery.
• Shield the development team from external distractions, interruptions, and unplanned work.
• Promote a collaborative, transparent, and self-organizing team culture.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to improve visibility into team progress, priorities, and delivery timelines.
• Encourage continuous learning, inspection, and adaptation within the team.
• Facilitate conflict resolution within the team and promote healthy, constructive disagreement.
• Support Agile transformation initiatives within the wider organization as required.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project Management.
• At least 3 years’ hands-on experience managing software development teams using Agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Agile Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM II) is an added advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High proficiency in servant leadership, coaching, and facilitation.
