Role Overview

The CCTV Control Room Shift Manager is responsible for supervising all CCTV and control room operations during an assigned shift. From the moment the shift is handed over, you will coordinate surveillance activities, manage incidents, and ensure smooth collaboration with on-ground security personnel.

This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a clear understanding of security procedures and CCTV technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for control room operations during assigned shifts.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems, including adjusting camera angles, zooming, and recording incidents.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all incidents and activities observed.
• Work closely with security personnel to respond quickly to security threats or emergencies.
• Carry out routine checks and tests on CCTV equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Report system faults, malfunctions, or irregularities to the appropriate authorities.
• Strictly follow standard operating procedures and security protocols.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of CCTV footage and records.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies when required by providing CCTV footage and support.
• Report security breaches, violations, or incidents to the Security Supervisor or Manager.
• Assist in training security staff on proper CCTV usage and control room procedures.
• Stay informed on new CCTV technologies and evolving security practices.
• Perform any other related duties assigned during working hours.

Qualifications & Requirements

• OND, C&G, or Trade Test I & II in ICT, Computer, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
• Proven ability to operate and control CCTV systems effectively.
• Good knowledge of different CCTV camera types and system setups.
• Familiarity with security protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Understanding of privacy laws and regulations relating to CCTV operations.
• Strong observation and analytical skills.
• Ability to identify suspicious activities and potential security threats.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
