Role Overview
The Operational Finance Manager serves as a vital bridge between the Finance department and our Functional Leadership. You will provide active business partnership by interpreting financial data and highlighting business opportunities, risks, and challenges. Your goal is to ensure smooth business operations by providing the analytical backbone for decisions on pricing, promotions, and production efficiency. This role requires high level collaboration with Commercial and Production functions to drive a profitable sales mix across all regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: Act as a dedicated partner to Commercial and Production units for routine and ad-hoc business analysis.
- KPI Tracking: Ensure daily monitoring of Key Business Indicators such as Gross Sales Revenue (GSR), Net Sales Revenue (NSR), and Variable Margin (VM).
- Profitability Analysis: Supervise and discuss SKU (Brand/Pack) profitability analysis with leadership to guide decisions on volumes and pricing.
- Operational Auditing: Champion the analysis of Manufacturing Overhead (MOH), yields, wastages, and variances across various production lines.
- Cost Evaluation: Conduct deep-dive analysis into Freight costs for haulage and distribution, as well as utility usage like fuel and power.
- Insight Generation: Provide actionable business insights on trade offers, discounts, and volume mix to maximize regional performance.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: Must have a professional-level qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience within a Multinational (MNC) manufacturing environment, preferably in beverage operations.
- Technical Skills: Excellent data analytics skills and working knowledge of business intelligence tools like Power BI.
- Competencies: Exceptional understanding of management accountancy, business planning, and resourcefulness in developing solutions for complex problems.
