Role Overview
The Accounting Intern will support the Finance team in maintaining the heartbeat of Pulse’s operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that every kobo is accounted for, from generating vendor bills to handling tax filings. This role requires a high level of discipline and attention to detail, as you will be working within an ERP system and managing critical financial documentation. It’s an immersive learning experience where you’ll be expected to stay updated with regulatory guidelines while building strong relationships with both internal collaborators and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Billing & ERP Management: Accurately generate, book, and clear vendor bills using the company’s ERP system.
- General Ledger: Handle the daily posting of transactions into the General Ledger (GL) to keep records up to date.
- Payables Management: Manage supplier payments and oversee the account payables workflow.
- Tax Compliance: Handle tax reconciliations, ensure timely payments, and assist with filing according to local regulations.
- Documentation & Audit Trail: Ensure all invoices, contracts, and tax certificates are compliant and properly uploaded to the Finance Google Drive and ERP.
- Month-End Support: Assist the team with month-end closing procedures to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Regulatory Adherence: Stay informed on industry best practices and ensure all activities align with the company’s Code of Conduct.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Education: Background in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (current student or recent graduate).
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles and comfort using digital tools (Google Drive, Excel, etc.).
