About the Role

Dangote Cement Transport Obajana, Kogi State is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNG Instrumentation Technician applicant to support its Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facilities in Kogi State. In this role, you as an Applicant will be responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and control systems that ensure smooth and safe CNG operations.

This position requires applicant who is technically sound, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with industrial gas systems. and also note that you will have to work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure that all instruments are functioning accurately and efficiently, helping to reduce downtime and improve overall plant performance.
 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your key duties and responsibilities includes:
  • You will have to install, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control systems used in CNG operations.
  • You will have to troubleshoot measurement and control devices such as pressure, flow, temperature, and level instruments.
  • Always carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance to keep CNG facilities operating at optimal performance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry safety standards and Dangote’s internal safety procedures.
  • Identify faults in sensors, transmitters, gauges, and control systems and resolve them promptly.
  • Document all maintenance work, inspections, repairs, and replacements accurately.
  • Work closely with engineers and operations teams to integrate instrumentation systems with plant processes.
  • Support system upgrades, modifications, and testing when required.
  • Report equipment issues, risks, or safety concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience

You must posses the following criteria before you can be considered for employment
  • B.Eng, HND, or National Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field in a recognised Institutions.
  • Having certificate in instrumentation evaluation, automation, or control systems is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years experiences in instrumentation maintenance.
  • Strong experience working with sensors, transmitters, gauges, and industrial control systems.
  • Practical experience in gas systems, with CNG experience being highly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of checking in of pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
