About the Position

The HSE Officer is responsible for promoting a safe and compliant working environment by implementing health, safety, and environmental standards across all operational sites. The position involves routine inspections, safety training, documentation, and close monitoring of technicians to ensure best safety practices are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and implement workplace health and safety programmes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and worksites.
  • Promote safe working techniques and behaviors.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Build and sustain professional relationships with employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings to share safety best practices.
  • Standardize health and safety procedures across operations.
  • Identify hazardous waste and ensure proper disposal.
  • Compile and maintain statutory safety registers and documentation.
  • Document staff information, meeting minutes, and safety reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND qualification.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years relevant work experience.
  • Professional certifications in HSE, ISO, or NEBOSH are an added advantage.
