About the Position
The Porter plays a frontline role in guest relations by assisting with luggage, guiding guests around the hotel, and supporting smooth daily operations. This position requires physical stamina, professionalism, and a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out.
- Escort guests to rooms and explain hotel facilities and amenities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby and public areas.
- Support security by monitoring premises and reporting incidents.
- Assist with guest transportation arrangements and coordinate with drivers.
- Provide mobility assistance and support guests with special needs.
- Manage lost-and-found items in coordination with the front desk.
- Support housekeeping with furniture movement and heavy lifting.
- Monitor parking areas and guide guests and visitors.
- Coordinate with maintenance on minor repairs and facility issues.
- Handle delivery services and support inter-departmental coordination.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Porter in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy luggage and equipment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of local attractions and services.
- Reliable and trustworthy character.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Basic English proficiency.
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is an advantage.
