About the Role

The Accountant (Logistics Sector) role is a critical position responsible for managing financial records, inventory tracking, and daily bookkeeping activities for a logistics-focused client. The successful candidate will ensure that all financial data, stock records, and balance sheets are accurate, up to date, and compliant with applicable regulations.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The accountant will play a key role in supporting management decisions by providing reliable financial insights and maintaining the overall financial health of the organization.

The position is suitable for professionals who are comfortable handling both routine accounting tasks and higher-level financial oversight, particularly within operationally intensive environments such as logistics and supply chain businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring proper tracking of stock movement and valuation.
• Oversee the general financial health of the company by monitoring cash flow, expenses, and revenue.
• Perform daily sales bookkeeping and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded.
• Prepare, review, and maintain the company’s account balance sheet.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proven accounting experience, preferably within the logistics or retail sector.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage inventory records and financial data accurately.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
