This role focuses on the operation, maintenance, and safety management of elevator and lift systems within the plant. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, and highly skilled in troubleshooting lift systems to ensure smooth, reliable, and continuous availability of all lifts on site.
This position is best suited for applicant with strong technical experience in industrial lift operations who are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with different technical teams.

Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for executing daily operation and maintenance activities for elevator and lift systems, while strictly following safety procedures and electrical standards. You will ensure that all safety interlocks are functional and that lifts remain available at all times to support plant operations.
You will also be involved in inspections, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, documentation, and compliance with regulatory and internal safety requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out operation and maintenance of elevator and lift systems in line with approved safety practices.
- Ensure all safety interlocks and protective devices are functional at all times.
- Troubleshoot lift malfunctions and apply specialized technical fixes where required.
- Study, select, and recommend spare parts including specialized PCB cards.
- Adjust and align moving mechanical parts to ensure smooth and safe lift operation.
- Use appropriate tools and techniques required for lift maintenance and repairs.
- Implement monthly maintenance schedules and conduct regular safety checks.
- Interface PCB cards with computers to analyze parameters and diagnose faults.
- Maintain elevator electrical equipment such as panels, motors, and control systems.
- Follow up on lift safety certifications and approvals from relevant authorities.
- Supervise and train technicians or project team members when required.
- Work closely with other technicians and departments to support plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, SOPs, SWPs, and OJT guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain ISO related documentation in an organized and systematic manner.
Requirements and Qualifications
- HND or BSc in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
- Certification in elevator or lift maintenance and safety is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience in elevator and lift operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of elevator and lift systems, including safety interlocks.
- Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex lift faults.
- Good understanding of spare parts selection and PCB card functionality.
- Experience with mechanical adjustments and alignment work.
- Knowledge of safety legislation, rules, and compliance standards.
- Good understanding of ISO 9000 standards and TPM practices.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate across departments.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of organizational awareness and attention to detail.
- Experience with Kone or Alimak lifts will be an added advantage.
